Johannes Peng Weizhao was born in the year 1966. He was ordained priest in 1989. Father Peng Weizhao was appointed the Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Yujiang, in Jiangxi Province in the year 2012. He later became the Bishiop of Yujiang on April 10, 2014, following the death of his predecessor Thomas Zeng Jing-mu.
On Nov. 24, 2022 Johannes Peng Weizhao appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Nanchang.
